Mistress Workshop Review

Mistress Workshop: Saturday 17th March 2015

Miss Kim, the self-styled “bachelorette” held a brilliant workshop on Saturday for aspiring mistress dommes in a gloriously decadent pub in Hoxton. There were six of us clients, a “findomme”, a sub femme and the fashionably dressed Kim in all her tartan glory.

The day was so well organised that it gave us time to absorb all Kim’s ideas (and there were loads!) and participate ourselves. Everyone felt very included in the sessions and there was time for us to divide into pairs and throw our ideas back to Kim. We covered an enormous amount of material including a very shapely sub’s bottom in the demonstration on spanking and all its facets. What struck me (excuse the pun!) was that everything was dealt with in a serious but fun atmosphere. There was something very unthreatening about the presentation and the work of a Mistress in the big wide world.

We covered areas like the differing types of Mistress and subs, ranging from private mistressing for partners, online domination, trans domination, sadistic domination even to reluctant domination. The list for the different types of subs was enormous but the most important aspect was that the subs themselves participated in deciding the type of submission they wanted. A lot of the discussion was about how the mistress and the sub should feel (relatively) comfortable in the situation they find themselves in.

After the demonstration on erotic spanking, we had an amazing presentation from goddess Penelope, a financial domme (“findomme” for short). Some of the things she told us were completely mind-blowing! It’s not my place here to discuss the findomme scene but suffice it to say that Goddess Penelope had worked it out brilliantly with a stunning website and an amazing ability to attract a stream of clients online, and a list of gifts that clients had the potential of filling a palace!

We then moved on to Kim telling us how to conduct a session; being creative and focussed all the time and always open to new ideas (even if it meant using kitchen utensils as ;props!). Health and Safety was discussed as well and there was a real feeling of taking proper responsibility in all aspects of this fascinating activity.

The workshop ended with some excellent advice about professional domme work and the potential pitfalls that can happen in that world.

If this is an important part of your life, be it in private with your partner, or out in the wide world, then I highly recommend Kim’s workshops. I think we were all a bit nervous to start with but we ended up wiser and more relaxed about the scene thanks to the enthusiasm of Bachelorette Kim!
